Paul E. Burdiss

President & CEO Zions Bank

Paul E. Burdiss is president and chief executive officer of Zions First National Bank. Before assuming his current role in April 2024, he served as chief financial officer of Zions Bank corporation for nine years. Prior to joining Zions, he was corporate treasurer at SunTrust Banks, Inc., where he was responsible for overseeing the investment portfolio, capital management, liquidity, and interest rate risk management, as well as supporting the stress testing and the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review process. Before SunTrust, Burdiss was executive vice president and treasurer of Comerica Inc., after having been the director of investor relations. Earlier in his career, he worked in Chicago, Illinois as a relationship manager at The Bank of Nova Scotia. Burdiss holds a bachelor’s degree in financial administration from Michigan State University, and an M.B.A. degree from the University of Michigan. He serves on the boards of directors of the Utah Bankers Association and Utah Impact Partnership and on the boards of trustees of Utah Symphony | Utah Opera and the Utah Sports Commission.
