Jonathan Freedman

President & CEO World Trade Center Utah

Jonathan Freedman is the President and CEO of World Trade Center Utah, an organization that accelerates the growth of Utah companies through its global network, programs and services. He serves as a member of the U.S. Trade Representative's Intergovernmental Policy Advisory Committee, on the state of Utah's Unified Economic Opportunity Commission and on the boards of the Utah Inland Port Authority, the Utah District Export Council, and the Utah Consular Corps. Prior to joining WTC Utah, Jonathan was an entrepreneur that in 1991 co-founded Downeast, a clothing and furniture manufacturer and retail chain. In 2007, Jonathan was asked by the Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. to serve as Honorary Consul of Ukraine and has led the effort to support the Ukrainian community in Utah, foster economic development, and promote cultural exchanges between Ukraine and Utah. In 2023, Jonathan was awarded the Order of Merit by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Jonathan and his wife, Leanne, have five children and live in Salt Lake City, Utah.
