SpectrumDNA is studio-incubator for social media enterprises and engines of engagement.
You’ve heard of a movie studio, a tv, a music studio. SpectrumDNA Inc. is an enginet studio. Enginets are software applications for web and wireless that, among other things, engage users by activating them as not just consumers, but also as producers, distributors, marketers, vendors, exhibitors, etc.
SpectrumDNA Studios a creative space in Park City, Utah, where digital networking artists and technologists develop, incubate, acquire, accelerate and package irresistible web-based social media experiences. |
| Background: |
SpectrumDNA Inc. was the brainchild of Jim Banister who has been engaging audiences at the intersection of media and technology for more than 20 yrs.
He developed world-class chops during his 6 yrs driving digital media programming for Warner Bros. Online and spearheading its digital media strategy, first as VP of Production & Technology and ultimately as Chief Development Officer. He also designed and built the multi-media and post-production systems for Steven Spielberg’s Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Project; and created TRW’s Engineering Visualization Center.
A visionary in digital media, Jim literally “wrote the book” on the techniques and trends that have come to define the Web 2.0 era: “Word of Mouse: The New Age of Networked Media”.
In 2004, Jim was doing consulting for the Park City-based company for which Robin Rankin worked at the time, and he promptly decided Utah would be his new home. Eventually they decided the timing was right to form what is now SpectrumDNA Studios. |
