Background:	Footnote.com evolved from iArchives, which was primarily a service provider that digitized documents for businesses, universities and archives. Russ Wilding, the CEO, came up with the idea to digitize historical content and host that content on a commercial website. A team was assembled to build a site where visitors could access content that previously had been tucked away in an archive and feature tools to interact with that content.
