Jon Walker is promoted to Manager of Marketing and Investor Relations

Salt Lake City, Utah, April 6, 2009—vSpring Capital, a leading early-stage venture capital firm headquartered in Salt Lake City, announced today that vSpring analyst, Jon Walker, has been promoted to the manager of marketing and investor relations.

Jon began his career at vSpring Capital as an intern during the summer of 2006 and was placed at Control4, a vSpring portfolio company. At Control4 he worked in their business marketing group and assisted in creating and executing their global marketing campaign. The following year, in May 2007, Jon re-joined the vSpring team as an analyst and has been involved in conducting due diligence, deal sourcing and analyzing potential investment opportunities.

“Jon has excelled during his time at vSpring and adds great value to our team,” said Ed Ekstrom, managing director of vSpring Capital. “With this promotion we can utilize Jon’s marketing and relationship building skills to help vSpring remain a leader in the Rocky Mountain venture capital industry.”

In his new position, Jon will be responsible for the firm’s v100 and internship programs, assisting in fundraising activities and investor and entrepreneur relations.

Jon graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in Communications with an emphasis in Marketing and Advertising in August 2007.
