DRAPER, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lingotek, the leader in collaborative translation technology, today announced the appointment of Calvin Scharffs as Vice President of Marketing and Product Development to round out their executive leadership team. As the vice president of marketing and product development at Lingotek, Scharffs will leverage his marketing and product development skills to lead worldwide marketing, outline go-to-market strategies, and develop partner and relationship programs.

Scharffs brings more than 17 years of experience in marketing, as well as both product and project management for early-stage companies and Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, Scharffs worked for Sendside Networks, a customer and investor communication platform, where he served as vice president of product management. At Sendside Networks, in addition to leading their integrated marketing program, Scharffs was also a product evangelist and worked closely with the product development team to deliver word class software.
Prior to Sendside Networks, Scharffs was VP, Group Program Management Director at McCann Worldgroup where he worked with clients including Microsoft, McAfee, Unisys, VeriSign, and Plantronics. Before working at McCann Worldgroup, he was the Director of Marketing for Compliance Information Systems. Early in his career, Scharffs was President and CEO of Digital Planet, an internet service provider that was acquired by the Citadel Broadcasting Corporation in 1998.
