Adoption of Permanent Archival Storage from Millenniata Growing Through VAR Relationships

Resellers, Organizations Learning M-DISC™ is the Only Solution to Inevitable “Disc Rot”

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Millenniata™, Inc., (http://www.millenniata.com) manufacturer of the first permanent optical archival solution, is gaining accelerated adoption and attention as it adds value added reseller (VAR) relationships around the globe.

“Whether for medical imaging, government records or for personal photo and genealogy records, there is a growing need for permanent archival that can stand the test of time”

An accelerated life test performed by the U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division at China Lake, Calif. tested five brands of archival-quality DVD discs including the Millenniata M-DISC for data longevity and reliability. The test found that the M-DISC was the only solution that suffered no degradation. All other disc brands tested failed during the test.

As consumers and organizations are learning that Millenniata resolves the issue of “disc rot” that is inevitable in other methods, VARs are discovering the business opportunity M-DISC represents. New VAR relationships include:

“Whether for medical imaging, government records or for personal photo and genealogy records, there is a growing need for permanent archival that can stand the test of time,” said Scott Shumway, CEO of Millenniata. “As consumers realize the pervasive problem in other storage technologies, VARs are recognizing the business opportunity and the up-sell of services Millenniata provides.”

Millenniata VAR partners are fully authorized to resell the M-DISC and M-WRITER™ permanent optical archival solution. Made of a rock-hard synthetic material, M-DISC preserves data for centuries. The M-WRITER etches data permanently onto the M-DISC material that cannot be overwritten, erased, or corrupted by natural processes—literally as if the data were etched in stone. M-DISCs are backward compatible with standard DVD drives.
