Description:
The Technology Councils of North America (TECNA) is looking for a Part-Time Executive Assistant. This proven professional will help the CEO and Executive Committee in the general operations of this national association representing 15,000 tech-related companies. TECNA is the largest information technology association in North America which represents over 40 associations and tech councils in the United States and Canada. With a combined membership of approximately 16,000 tech-related corporate members, TECNA recently signed a strategic alliance w/ the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA).
Duties:
  • Conference planning with co-chairs (2 conferences per year)
    • Conference budget management, communications, emails and website
    • Review hotel contracts
    • Catering & Facility arrangements
    • Transportation needs
    • Registration & Materials preparation
    • Fulfilling sponsorship obligations

  • Meetings coordinator working with chair (monthly conference calls – compelling topics for execs)
    • Presenter and topic coordination
    • Publicity in calls
    • Participation and documentation of minutes

  • Administrative duties
    • Monthly EC meeting participation including meeting reminders, agenda development/distribution, meeting minutes and followup on action items
    • Record all strategic agreements, affinity programs and materials shared between tech associations for corporate notebook

  • Website oversight
    • Update CRITA website
      • General TECNA info and contact info
      • Membership roster updates
      • Event notifications, presentations, photos

  • Membership management
    • Answer membership inquiries. Facilitate membership recruitment and retention

 

Qualifications:

Tech association or other results-based, non-profit association experience (perferred but not mandatory), Event planning experience (helpful), Detail-oriented, Exceptional verbal and written skills, Excellent interpersonal skills, Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills.
