We are looking for a Sr. Oracle DBA to join our Hosting team.  Tomax Hosting provides product and technical expertise in managing Tomax software applications.  The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in technical support and database administration.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Provides design assistance, analyzes and manages application and database solutions with technical emphasis in performance monitoring, problem identification and resolution.
• Assists in tuning and monitoring the operational efficiency and technical integrity of applications in support of internal and external customers
• Assists in installations, patches and upgrades to Tomax Retail.netÓ products.
• Performs data analysis, testing and software configuration of customer environments as necessary.

• ·         Analyzes trends and reports potential problems or areas of improvement.
• ·         Prioritizes numerous issues of varying severity, and effectively manages the resolution of all issues within accepted service levels.

• Assists in the creation and maintenance of departmental documentation and standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related degree or equivalent work experience.

• ·         5+ years experience in database administration, development or consulting
• ·         Experience with Oracle 9i/10g/RAC database and application services including installation, maintenance, monitoring and backups
• ·         Experience with PL/SQL, SQL Plus, CRON, stored procedures/packages, import/export, database administration and replication
• ·         Experience with UNIX, Linux, Solaris and/or Windows
• ·         Experience with NAS Storage systems is preferred, though not required.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers through entire implementation process;
