Reed Benson added CFO responsibilities to his General Counsel duties in January, 2007. Prior to becoming Broadcast International's General Counsel in October, 2003, Benson had been in private law practice since April, 2000. From August, 1987 to April, 2000, he was Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel for Broadcast International, Inc., and served as Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel for Data Broadcasting Corporation, BI's then parent company. Mr. Benson received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Utah in 1971 and became a certified public accountant in the state of New York in 1974 before receiving a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Utah College of Law in 1976.
