LiteTouch originated as a division of Electro Controls, a leader in stage, television, and architectural lighting with five decades of product development experience in lighting and dimming control. In January 1986, the founders of Electro Controls retained ownership of LiteTouch amid an acquisition by the Rank Corporation, a London based conglomerate. Under their leadership, LiteTouch, Inc. quickly became an industry leader in residential and commercial lighting control systems. Early in 2007, LiteTouch was acquired by Nortek, a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality, competitively-priced building products for residential, light commercial, and commercial applications.
